Yes, to a certain degree. The rule, as I understand it, is this:

When you've completed your last shift, you can either write info@roskilde-festival.dk and request an official wristband, OR you can go to Check-In at Teknisk Skole, Maglelunden, and do the exhcange there. Please note, though, that Check-In closes at 10 PM on Sunday, July 6th, so if you go that route, it has to be done before that.

However, this is only possible as long as they have wristbands left. It's first-come, first-serve, and if the Festival sells out (which is very likely this year, considering the line-up), the exchange will not be possible at all.

BTW: Yes, I realise I am answering an old post - but someone might still be interested in this info :)
The basic rules is no you can not. That some might have had luck years where there was not sold out I can´t say a 100% but in generel the answer is no

Lots of people exchanged their wristbands last year, and "generally no" is not what the various volunteer associations is told.

But whatever...

You won´t believe how many times a year we say:" No, it´s a rumor, please tell your manager/ person in charge (especially from the organizations working for the festival) to stop telling the volunteers things they don´t know anything about!".

The basic rule is: No, you cannot!

The thing you can do, if you´re not able to stay alive without an ordinary wristband is:

Send a letter with the wristband enclosed (a real letter - not an email) after the festival to the festival and ask politely if you can have it swapped.

Enclose a an addressed envelope (With a stamp on!)

Hope for the best.

Old wristbands from earlier years are sometimes used at later festivals for various purposes. Furthermore usually the wristbands are in short supply - if there´s 75.000 tickets on sale - maybe 75.500 will be ordered by the festival (sometimes less if they don´t think its going to be sold out.) I remember a festival not long ago, where we actually ran out of wristbands and had to order more mid-festival..

Also, during the festival a lot of wristbands are changed because they are to tight, to loose, broken, stolen or not closed properly. So a surplus of 500 wristbands isn´t that much.

Sincerely

A guy from Entrance West
