So its time for Thursday. This one was pretty tricky so input is very welcome. I do not think we should expect additional thursday names. The schedule is full already with Discwoman playing 3 hours expanding the Apollo "playing time", and I've only assigned Hun Solo normal set-time even though it could sound in the description like they are getting slightly more (since being 5 girls)

You may be right... Mainly placed Marching church on Avalon as it is a danish band...

Wednesday is not the tough day. Not much for me on that day. Most of my top acts are on on friday. I'm very very curious to see what kind of (lovely) hell Roskilde got in store for me on that day in terms of schedule :D

Yeah, I haven´t gotten that familiar with which bands are each day as I would stress too much. :D The schedule day will be hell again thats for sure. :)

Maybe I have a blind spot with Red Fang. I have a friend who is a big fan and thinks they´re the biggest band on earth or something... :) And I don´t know how big Marching Church is in Denmark...

Even as a dane I do not know how big Marching Church is. Will fans of iceage all appear Pavillion might be to small (iceage played Arena last time), so I think I'll keep them there for now. There's also the option of having 4 bands on arena and throw Warpaint on Arena. I'm pretty sure 1-2 of the bands to be announced is for wednesday.
Good guesses!

Here's some input:

Wednesday: I'd switch around Bonobo with A Day to Remember. The former is a one-guy chillout act while the latter is a fiery metalcore band that is hugely popular outside of Denmark. 5.000.000 likes on facebook or such. I was a bit baffled to learn that they aren't subheadlining, but they're an Arena act for sure, unless you really know that the opposite is true.

Thursday: Gucci Mane is way bigger than Bryson Tiller. Do we have any intel that says the latter is playing Arena? Otherwise, I'd switch them around. I'd bump down Lorenzo Woodrose to one of the smaller stages. It's a solo show, so it's basically him and a guitar. Pig Destroyer or High on Fire could take his place. Sleep took on the Avalon stage with ease last year, so that might be an argument to choose High on Fire.

Friday: Maybe bump down Angel Olsen to Avalon and give Of Mice & Men an Arena spot. I'd also maybe bump Against Me! up to Avalon and Nils Bech down to Pavilion. He isn't very well known in Denmark besides his appearance in Skam, and the former is a two decades old punk band. Both First Hate and 47soul could also turn out to be Apollo names but I have no idea who you might move to make space for them. Av Av Av could maybe pull Avalon off as well?

Saturday: Slowdive played Avalon last time around, when they filled in for Chromeo in 2014, so I wouldn't expect any different now that the Avalon tent is actually even bigger. Emil Stabil or Baby Woodrose could both be contenders to fill that spot instead. The latter has played the Orange stage twice many years ago. The Rumour Said Fire are bigger than Pavilion. Avalon maybe. I'd also move Group Doueh & Cheveu to Pavilion. I'd switch around Noisia and Cashmere Cat. I believe the former are more of the late night rave type.
Very good guesses! Impressive work!

I do have some input though..

Wednesday:
Would probably switch Red Fang and Marching Church. The last time Red Fang visited, they played a pretty packed Odeon at 14 in the afternoon. Marching Church are too new.
And as much as I hate this, G-Eazy and blink-182 probably need to switch too.. The Weeknd is expected to draw one of the biggest crowds, which is why you need another big name to move all the rock fans. G-Eazy is big too, but a lot of his fans would probably go see The Weeknd instead.

Thursday:
Would throw Popcaan over to the Apollo-stage. And give that spot to Elza Soares. Then we would have two legendary female singers at Orange stage at the same day. Would create awareness of the gender-issue, that Roskilde is focussing on this year. Erasure would then get her spot, which would make room for Royal Blood at Arena. I do think that we will get another name for the Orange stage. Not headliner, but something that would fit the stage. Like motherfucking Kasabian!

Friday
Just think that Lorde will have a timeslot that is a bit closer to Foo Fighters in order to not be overcrowding either stages. Perhaps just move the timeslot at Arena with half an hour. Avanlanches could easily play from 2.30

Saturday
Had the terrible privilege to see Lil Uzi Vert as warm up for The Weeknd earlier this year. He would definitely fit better at Apollo, than at Avalon. He could end up drawing too big a crowd for Avalon, for some reason that's beyond me. Then perhaps give his spot to Rumour Said Fire.

Very good inputs overall. I really can't see Elza Soarez on Orange though, and thursday seems to be pretty packed with names. Kasabian would be motherfucking great nevertheless, and it is a bit crazy we are juggling Popcaan, RB, Future Islands and Elza Soares for Orange - Not impressive.

Great inputs overall. It's difficult to juggle and know all the names. You surprised me with A Day to Remember. Had no idea that they were this big. But we can't underestimate Bonobo. He is able to bring quite the live-show and live setup that is much much more than a 1-guy act (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca93bp-jpn8&t=2158s). I'll go with 4 Arena names !

I like your thursday inputs. I might have overestimated Bryson Tiller, because his new album is so massively streamed on spotify.

Friday is pretty packed with possible Apollo names (sadly), but I like your idea of bumping down Angel Olsen and throwing in some Metal at Arena.

Were you at the concert with Slowdive last time? They just feel bigger than Avalon, but I might be biased towards these old bands. I do not think Baby Woodrose is bigger than Spids Nøgenhat who played Avalon last time. I would rather bump up Lil Uzi Vert or one of the world names. Saturday is difficult at this stage, as I think we are missing 3-4 acts this day.
Icona Pop will play a late-night show: "The duo is readying up a spectacular late-night party, and you are invited!"

I also think that Hun Solo will play a longer than normal set because there is five artists. "Get ready for a special afternoon at Roskilde Festival 2017 in the company of five extremely talented female artists:"

For me it's hard to imagine that Royal Blood would play the 22-slot at the Orange on thursday. I think Future Islands is bigger and more popular than RB, so I guess it's rather Future Islands playing then. Or why not The xx.

I definitely agree with you on Elza Soares. I think even putting her on Arena would be pushing it. Her live show is very laid back, and very static. All of her band members are seated, and it isn't a giant samba party as the uninitiated might expect.

Re: Slowdive, yes, I was there. The tent was very far from being packed. The same was the case with My Bloody Valentine on Green Stage/Arena in 2008, a pro pos shoegazer legends. Very few people, but that might also have been caused by Neil Young playing the Orange Stage at the exact same time. I really think Slowdive on Arena would be a massive bummer. I can see what you're saying with Baby Woodrose though – they've lost quite a bit of traction since 2003/2004 where they played the Orange stage both years.
