Roskilde Festival and Tuborg RÅ present KlubRÅ!

1200 square metres. Five unique rooms. An abundance of performance artists, musicians, DJs, dancers and much more. KlubRÅ is a club experience unlike anything previously seen at Roskilde Festival or any other festival, combining concerts, performances, video art and installations.

The name translates to “ClubRAW”, referencing both the club’s cutting-edge art and the eco beer, Tuborg RÅ, that was developed by both Roskilde Festival and Tuborg.

The five rooms are inspired by the five energies of Yin and Yang: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The five rooms represent these elements in different way, but collectively create an overwhelming and cutting-edge universe taking on themes such as equality, sexuality, gender, ethnicity and the human relationship with body and technology.

Queer collective, K-pop and everything in-between
Entering KlubRÅ, festival-goers will encounter Danish artist Emilie Alstrup’s synthetic science fiction world and a sound piece composed by experimental producer WHY BE.

Deeper into the club, American performance darling Ligia Lewis will create an energetic, animal-like performance surrounded by a rain machine, DJs and a light show. Plenty of shock and surprise await when queer collective Young Boy Dancing Group creatively combine candles, body openings and much more.

Several musicians from the non-profit festival’s music programme take part in KlubRÅ, including feminist rapper Princess Nokia, M.I.A. drummer Madame Gandhi and Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler AKA DJ Windows98. All known for mixing musicality with attitudes and strong opinions, they are ready to mix art and music in ways that will be new to them as well.

EXP will deliver the first ever K-pop tunes at Roskilde Festival whilst young ensemble Duen offer a string concert with 30 musicians surrounding the audience in the club. Kenton Slash Demon – consisting of members of When Saints Go Machine – are readying an electronic show that includes a vibrating steel construction. Jomi Massage, meanwhile, will activate the audience with a ritual that involves sculpting.

These are just some of the things the festival-goers can experience in the club, but the key element is surprise and the unexpected: going through KlubRÅ, they will experience different things at different times.

As if I don´t have my schedule full already...

You give us too much, Roskilde... Can´t handle it anymore. :)
There will be no time schedule for KlubRÅ, so it will be more a "hey I got ½ hours let go see what is going on in there"
Do you know the location for this? is it in the festival area, or somewhere in the camping area?
