When we still have the concerts in memory I think its time to rate them.

Saturday

Viking Blót Party 4/6
Overall I think the idea was great but they should probably have started 1 hour later as the place was rather empty under the first act (Krauka).
I think he was good but we was probably only 50 people in attendance.

Highlight was of course Sorten Muld

Sunday

Daily Dak 3/6
I don´t know who the first 2 acts where but I liked the energy, but Psy trance can get a little repetitive when you have listened to the same for almost 2 hour so I gave up and left.

I didn´t have time for some music on Monday and Tuesday but it sounds like I missed some good concerts.

Wednesday

A Day To Remember 4/6
A fun concert to start my festival, but I had to leave early for warpaint.
Is it unfair to think that the warmup with the metal classics was better than the actual concert?

Warpaint 4/6
To my surprise I arrived to a half empty tent, at this time I didn´t know about the problems at the entrances.
The band sounded good but It was like some of the vocals drowned in the other instruments.

Madame Ghandi 5/6
I only only saw the second half but what I saw was good.

The Weeknd 4/6
It did what it said on the tin and nothing more, so not bad but not great either.

Rag´Bone Man 5/6
What a concert, the crowd was with him the whole time,

Thursday

Future Islands 5/6
A good start to my Thursday

Royal Blood 4/6
They played very well and the sound was good but it was probably not my cup of tea as I leaved the concert after that song from the commercials.

Erasure
Wont rate them as I only listened from the volunteers lounge so it doesn´t count, My friend told that they have closed the gates near Arena because of the huge crowd so I didn´t bother to see if I could get close to the stage.

The XX 6/6
My first time listening to them and what a concert, normally I tend to look at the clock to see how long they have played but I didn´t do that under this concert, I was mesmerized.

Friday

First Hate 4/6
Nice 80´ies synth pop to start my day but nothing more than that.

Tivoli Copenhagen Phil 4/6
It would probably have been greater if it was possible to get closer to the musicians but at that time I arrived the tent was packed. (åprobably because of the rain)

Saturday

The Rumour Said Fire 5/6
Good concert but man that frontman was akward when he tried to interact with the crowd.

Emil Stabil 1/6
The one star is for Lil Kleine, the rest was a trainwreck
I don´t know why I stayed but then I would have missed Lil Kleine :-)

The Lumineers 5/6
Great Orange opener for what was happening to be a good day

Slowdive 6/6
Can only agree withe the critics here.

Halsey 5/6
I only saw the last 4 songs or so but the sound was great and the crowd really into it.

Ice Cube 4/6
It was a good day, :-) but a longer set and more hits would probably have given him one more star.

Arcade Fire 6/6
I´m still buzzing, what a show.

Moderat 5/6
Great show from them, going a little bit more deeper than whai I expected but it was a good surprise and nice to know that the singer wasn´t hurt when he fell of the stage :-)

Modeselektor 5/6
How to judge this one, party is 6/6 but music probably only 4/6 so I land in between.

The festival 4/6
The overall festival experience was good but the rain ruined it a little bit because so many went home if the sun was shining on Friday and didn´t destroy the festival site I would probably give it 5/6.
I also had some stupid as neighbours in the volunteers camp that made noise at 5 in the morning etc,

The tent where full for Erasure, but lot of space around, dont get why they closed if not just your friend where drunk ;-)

I get the more time to Cube, but more hits? The man placed a show of hits after hits ;)
Well maybe my friends was drink, I meet them at Barock so maybe they got plenty to drink.

Well maybe he could have played more of the hits instead of cutting them short.

But there was 4-5 obvious songs missing according to one of the reviews I saw..

He also said he wanted to play for 2 hours.

As said I agreed on the time part. But that he wanted to play for 2 hours where bull shit.. and you know that Anders. Not like Roskilde called him and say hey Cube wanna play the shortest headliner show on roskilde 2017? He could have had 1½hours, 2 hours if he wanted that

All in all many excellent concerts and just a few disappointments. A great year! Looking forward to 2018!
The Kutimangos, Odd Couple, Vanishing Twin, Idles, Alsarah & the Nubatones, Red Fang, Kevin Morby, Hellacopters, Hamid El Kasri, Weekend, Julia Jacklin, Pert Near Sandstone, Savage Rose, Dub De Gaita, Margo Price, Elza Soares, Oathbreaker, Author & Punsher, Jah9, Viagra Boys, ´68, Tivoli Copenhagen Phil, Noname, Karen Elson, Seun Kuti, Hidros Zap, Mammút, La Mambanegra, Foo Fighters, Jagwar Ma, The Avalanches, The Lumineers, Jenny Hval, Janka Nabay & the Bubu Gang, Romperayo, Anthrax, Arcade Fire, Mr Peter Hayden Band and Residente made the music programme top notch for me as always. It was Roskilde alright.

The best parties in bold letters. I rarely did see the whole shows, usually I left early or came late. There´s just so much to see and to do.

Found Arcade Fire and Foo Fighters boring. Hellacopters rocked, so did Savage Rose,

Haha typical.

That's the reason why I'm afraid of leaving a concert.

I stayed for the full Modeselektor gig because I was afraid of missing something great.
Vanishing Twin was the biggest disappointment for me for two reasons : I only got to see half an hour of it, since I was stuck in a line to get into the festival grounds for an hour. The other reason being the poor sound they had at Gloria because it was the first show there. They also played a lot of songs from their new EP and not so many from their magnificent LP.

I don't think you missed much. The Gloria stage crew were also heavily delayed, so it wasn't until 30-40 minutes AFTER they should have begun that Vanishing Twin went onstage. You maybe missed 10-15 mins or so – wasn't a terribly long show.

The sound wasn't too bad in my ears though?

For a band like VT the sound is very essential. They need it crystal clear. Maybe it was just where I was standing or maybe it was just the band that didn´t get me where I wanted to mentally in their concert.

Compared to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOdyKQzCz_U I was a bit disappointed, but it still is a great band imo. Maybe I expected too much. Have to see them again sometime.
This is what I recall seeing at least a representative part of. I'm scoring 0 to 3 as that what I use to score the acts based on the Spotify list before I see them as well. I did not see any acts during the warm-up unfortunately.

Wednesday
A Day To Remember: too raw for me live - *
Phlake: a pleasant surprise - **
Idles: again, too raw - *
Rüfüs: great electronic show with 3 live performers - **
Red Fang: a little too rough around the edges for me - *
The Weeknd: great performance with a great band - ***
Rag'N'Bone Man: simply fantastic. What a voice - ***
Justice: I love their songs but there is noting to see live - *

Thursday
Blood Command: pretty okay. Close to their CD tracks - **
Future Islands: disappointing. Don't like his voice or performance. Beer bar at Arena to the rescue - *
Margo Price: great country music performace - **1/2
Royal Blood: probably the best show of the festival for me - ***++
Oathbreaker: meh - 0
The XX: Okayish - *1/2

Friday
Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 Feat. Yasiin Bey: incredible energy - **
Of Mice & Men: fantastic performance. Sounded great - **1/2
Fatima Yamaha: Dutch producer. Great tunes but no performance - *1/2
Against Me!: Okay but the sound wasn't that great - *
Foo Fighters: Great show once again but no new material. Dispite their entausiasm it feels like it is just routine for them at this point - **

Saturday
Kellermensch:didn't know what to expect, disapointed - 1/2
The Lumineers: Meh - *
Halsey: I had already seen Slowdive so I went for Halsey. Was not disappointed. Great live voice with a tight band - **1/2
Ice Cube: I didn't even recognise most of the songs due to the bad sound. Once we moved behind Orange to eat something it sounded okay. Overall disappointing - *
Priests: Meh - 0
Anthrax: Bad sound, awful audience - 1/2
Arcade Fire: great performance but lacking in energy somewhat - **

Overall a disappointing year for me. Partly due to the uninspired booking and my taste (I don't like most modern hip-hop with the trap beats and auto-tune vocals, neither am I fond of most metal) partly due to my own energy levels causing me to start late, leave the festival area early skipping a lot of acts in between in favour of some coffee and the comfort of a pick-nick table.
Warm-up days
I liked most Odd Couple, The Love Coffin, Baest, The Kutimangoes and Modest.
